About the role
In Marlborough, Adult Mental Health Services are delivered by an established multi-disciplinary team based at the Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. This team delivers a comprehensive clinical resource to those affected by acute or enduring severe mental illness.
In addition to short term caseload responsibilities, duties will include assessment and acute management of individuals presenting with mental health problems. Normal hours of work are between 8.00AM and 4.30PM, Monday to Friday, overtime will be required. Occasional weekend and on call as required and by negotiation.
We have a temporary full-time position available, working 80 hours a fortnight (1.0FTE), covering parental leave from mid-January 2019.
You will need be a Registered Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapists with an up to date knowledge of mental health and associated issues. You will possess the personal resilience and professional attributes required to undertake this challenging role.
