Eating disorders are becoming more prevalent in society, Anorexia is believed to be the deadliest mental illness there is. In this workshop we will focus mostly on anorexia nervosa, bulimia and binge eating. This workshop builds on the workshop held at the start of the year but you do not need to have attended part 1 to attend part 2. We will also have a specialist from PMH to help support the discussion and answer any questions.

This workshop will look at some more advanced aspects of eating disorders, including:

  • Underlying changes in the brain
  • Different forms of treatment
  • Managing and supporting someone with an eating disorder in the community
  • Understanding co-existing diagnoses.

Delivered by Dr Sue Bagshaw, Michael Hempseed and a Collaborative Trust Youth Tutor.
