We have four exciting Allied Health Leader opportunities coming up to advance your career and move into a senior leadership role within Specialist Mental Health Services, CDHB. These roles will see you at the forefront of the transformation helping reshape the way we operate, leading and developing Allied Health Services that will sustain us well into the future.

The Role: Where you fit in
As an Allied Health Leader, you will work in partnership with the Clinical Director, Nurse Consultant and the Service Manager/Nurse Director of the allocated service to facilitate the ongoing development of mental health best practice, promote inter-disciplinary models of care and lead service improvements that deliver improved outcomes for consumers and their families/whānau.
Reporting to the Director of Allied Health you will be part of the Allied Health Directorate, also working closely with the Allied Health Clinical Leaders and Allied Health Educator. The roles are firmly focused on leadership within the services, however you will also have strong clinical experience within your area of practice. You will be based at either Hillmorton Hospital or The Princess Margaret Hospital Campus but working with our regional Mental Health Services and across the Canterbury Health system.
Providing leadership for a dynamic team of Allied Health Clinicians within your service area you will shine a light on Allied Health professions ensuring their centrality in the planning and delivery of services. We are seeking experienced leaders who are innovative, outcome focused, have a deep commitment to work in collaboration across disciplines and driven to achieve professional and operational excellence.
- Experience in senior leadership roles
- Ability to articulate a compelling vision for all Allied Health disciplines
- Strong clinical experience within Mental Health sector
- Experience in leading improvement in service delivery and or practice development
- Strong professional networks and relationship skills
- Digital competence and data literacy
- Champions the values of CDHB and acts ethically and with integrity
