ANZASW AGM 2020: Expressions of Interest Sought

The Board is calling for Expressions of Interest from Branches, Roopu, Special Interest Groups or a group of members to host the 2020 Annual General Meeting and Professional Development Day which includes the Merv Hancock Address.

The CPD Event and AGM must be held before 30 September 2020. The ideal day would be 23 September 2020, New Zealand Social Workers Day.

While not set in stone a 1 day programme could look something like:

  • Welcome / opening
  • Merv Hancock address – at least an hour
  • Morning tea
  • Workshop/s
  • Lunch
  • Workshop/s
  • AGM – at least 2 hours

The CPD event could be thematic or potentially be based around Core Competence 2 working with different ethnicities and culture in New Zealand.

Costs related to the CPD event would be covered by the attendance fee. The ANZASW Office meets the costs associated with the AGM so would contribute to the venue and refreshments costs. The organising Team can apply to the Branch Contestable fund for seeding finance for the event.

Venues for previous AGM’s:

2019       Cambridge

2018       Auckland

2017       Dunedin

2016       Palmerston North

2014       Bay of Plenty

2013       Auckland
