Global Social Welfare Digital Summit 2020 – Request for Submissions

The Global Social Welfare Digital Summit 2020 hosted by Social Work Helper, PBC is requesting submissions to present at the Four Day Virtual Conference on February 25th – 28th, 2020 at 9AM EST each day. Presenters will be live streamed from their location and can present from anyplace in the world with internet access. Using the hashtag #GSWDS2020, the conference theme each year will always center around improving outcomes for children and families.
There is no speaking fee, and presenters will have free access to all four days of the conference.
We are looking for presentations from the micro to macro perspectives on topics of ethics, technology, interventions, research, policy, etc relating to the following themes:
Day One – Health Care and Mental Wellbeing
Day Two – Advocacy and Activism
Day Three – Trauma-Informed Care
Day Four – Self-Care, Prevention, and Solutions
Submission Deadline: Submissions are due by 11:59 PM EDT on October 1st, 2019.
Notification of Proposal Acceptance: Presenters will be notified via email no later than October 15th. Please notify firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any changes to your email address prior to the notification date.
You do not have to be a social worker to submit a proposal. We are looking to get submissions from all helping professions. Helping professions serve the same demographic, and we want this conference to be as interdisciplinary as possible.
All accepted presenters will be required to attend a mandatory training on the technology prior to the live presentation. Presenters who do not attend the mandatory training will be removed from the schedule. Presentations can be given one of two ways:
- Presenters can host a live panel at their location, and Social Work Helper, PBC can work with their onsite live stream technicians in using OBS to broadcast into Crowdcast the Summit’s Virtual Platform.
- With a limit of three presenters per presentation, presenters can use a webcam from their respective locations to create a three presenter presentation on the Crowdcast Platform.
- The format will use a webinar style presentation approximately 40 minutes in length with following with a Q&A session to engage the audience.

No Shows: All accepted presenters will be submitted to CEU accreditation bodies to have their presentations certified for CEUs. Any presenters who miss their presentations without giving a 30 days notice to Social Work Helper, PBC will not be able to present for the next 3 years.
