Trauma Informed Care Workshop, Presented by Hagar NZ, Auckland
Date(s) - 19/10/2019
If you work with anyone who has suffered trauma, this will be a fantastic workshop for you.
Sue Taylor has spent many years working with a Trauma Informed Care model for Hagar International in Cambodia. Hagar offers intensive trauma recovery services for survivors of modern slavery, trafficking and abuse. Sue helped develop the model of Trauma Informed Care that Hagar uses as a trauma recovery model for survivors of extreme human rights abuses due to modern slavery, human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Sue will present the practical applications of trauma informed care when serving clients when impacted by trauma.
Susan Somerville offers support to those who work with clients that have suffered trauma. Sue will host the last session of the workshop to present an overview of self-care for professionals working with clients who have suffered trauma. She is trained in TRE: Trauma and Tension Release Experience and will run a TRE session during the workshop.
