Our Community Ministries centres around New Zealand provide individuals and families with social work, counselling, emergency welfare, financial mentoring, life skills and parenting courses, and transitional housing. We are a caring and compassionate team.

About the role
We are seeking a Team leader role to complement our management team.
This is an opportunity to help guide and develop a first-class service as we further develop our model of care and support that we offer to clients and their whanau/families.
You will be leading a team of dedicated caseworkers working with clients who are wanting to make a positive change to their lives.
The Clinical Team Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Mission of Tauranga Corps, Community Ministries is fulfilled by leading staff in a way that increases individual and team capacity to provide effective care to individuals and/or their families who access its services and/or programmes and to provide oversight of best practice case work within the Community Ministries team.
This exciting leadership role involves overseeing the provision of comprehensive assessments, case management, group work, one-to-one supportive interventions, and liaison with other community organisations to provide the best care possible.
You will be part of a wider team working collaboratively, reporting to, and assisting the Manager.
If you have a commitment to supporting people and have many of the following attributes, we would like to hear from you:
- A current professional qualification and registration in Social Work or Counselling and Supervision (essential)
- Experienced in managing a team of staff
- Experienced in group facilitation and issue resolution
- The ability to work within a team environment
- The ability to work from a bicultural perspective
- Clinical experience in casework within a social service setting
- The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures
