In Marlborough, Adult Mental Health Services are delivered by an established multi-disciplinary team based at the Wairau Hospital in Blenheim. This team delivers a comprehensive clinical resource to those affected by acute or enduring severe mental illness.

In addition to caseload responsibilities, duties will include assessment and acute management of individuals presenting with mental health problems, both within and outside of hours. Normal hours of work are between 8.00am and 4.30pm, Monday to Sunday. Participation in on call roster is required. This role also requires the post holder to hold the position of, and undertake duties pertaining to, a Duly Authorised Officer.

You will need be a Registered Psychiatric or Comprehensive Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker with an up to date knowledge of mental health and associated issues. You will possess the personal resilience and professional attributes required to undertake this challenging role.
