Taumaranui is a small, close-knit town that sits in the north of the Ruapehu District at the confluence of the Whanganui and Ongarue rivers. The district is landlocked and contains Te Kahui Maunga – the gathering of famous mountains namely Mt Ruapehu, and Mt Ngauruhoe and Tongariro. The majesty of these maunga are the perfect playground for people who enjoy the outdoors. Skiing, hiking and tramping are definitely the order of the day so if you’re looking for lifestyle ‘nau mai, haere mai!’

Who are we?
