Supervision Interests/Approaches/Type: | |
BIANCA JOHANSON TE RARAWA, NGATI KURI, TE AUPOURI NO MURIWHENUA AHAU The supervision I offer is a transformative process that contributes to growth and provides insight to increase confidence in your social work practice with individuals, whānau, the wider community and colleagues. I have over 20 years’ social work practice in mental health, women’s health and kaupapa Māori services. My most recent roles have been as a team leader and social work assessor within primary health care and whānau ora. Working from a strong bicultural practice approach my supervision is informed by narrative theory and strength based ideas, with attention to kaupapa Māori – tikanga approaches that are centred on kaitiakitanga (stewardship), whanaungatanga (whānau connections), ahurutanga (safe space) and mauri ora (absolute health and well-being). I have a Masters of Indigenous Studies, Bachelor in Bicultural Social Work, Kaupapa Supervision Certificate, Family Therapy Certificate and Diploma in Tertiary Education. Furthermore I am a trained practitioner in DBT (Dialectal Behavioural Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), IDT (Interactive Drawing Therapy), am a fully SWRB registered social worker and current member of ANZASW. I have supervised many social work and community support workers across a range of specialities in my roles as team leader, senior social worker and educator. Currently I supervise practitioners across a range of disciplines such as social work, community, counselling and education. My supervision practice is based in west Auckland and I am flexible to meeting with supervisees in central Auckland. I welcome zoom & phone supervision as well. I currently attend cultural and social work supervision on a monthly basis. Nga manaaki, |
