Community-led development: Lessons from the development of a model of support for whānau caregivers

This workshop in Whanganui guides participants through the real-world development of a model of practice, showing how recognizing unmet need can evolve into whānau-led solutions and systems change. Through seven stages of practice, it offers practical insight and reflective space to help practitioners shift from reacting to need toward enabling community-led approaches that influence wider systems. This is an in-person event and will not be recorded.

Strengthening systems: Effective cross-agency communication to improve coordination, response and recognition of child abuse

This study is recruiting frontline professionals to participate in an online survey. Frontline professionals will need to be employed at a statutory agency in a role that includes engagement with tamariki and whānau, and in a posi on where they could recognise or respond to instances of child abuse.

Participation Criteria : 1. Be a registered mental health practitioner with an Aotearoa New Zealand professional body; 2. Live and work in Aotearoa New Zealand; and 3. Be comfortable completing the survey in English.
