How Mental Health Service Environments Impact Client Empowerment, and Recovery in Aotearoa New Zealand

Participation Criteria : The participants in this study were mental health practitioners with professional experience working within mental health services in Aotearoa New Zealand. Social workers were specifically targeted due to their important role within recovery-oriented mental health practice and their involvement in advocacy, empowerment, and holistic care. To participate in the study, individuals were required to meet the following inclusion criteria: • Be currently practising or have recent experience working within mental health services in Aotearoa New Zealand. • Be registered social workers or practitioners associated with mental health service provision. • Be over 18 years of age. • Be able to communicate effectively in English. • Be willing to participate in a recorded online interview. These criteria ensured that participants possessed relevant knowledge and experience related to the research topic.

Not Sick Enough, Not Well Enough: A Critical Exploration of Social Workers’ Roles in Supporting Women with Chronic Pain in Aotearoa.

Participation Criteria :Participants should be social workers or other relevant helping professions that have direct experience supporting women with chronic pain in health/community contexts. Participants should be currently employed in a health/community space, either in governmental or non-governmental agencies.

Social Workers and Helping Professionals Ability to Engage Effectively with Rainbow Youth

Participation Criteria : - A helping professional such as social worker, community worker, mental health practitioner, or teacher who would normally have the opportunity to work directly with rainbow youth - Participants should have at least one year’s experience in their field of practice. - Either currently working or volunteering in a social services NGO, community-based organisation, or health provider. - Also considered are persons who have worked or volunteered in a social services NGO, community-based organisation, or health provider within the last 12 months.
