Professional Experience I have practiced as a social worker for 25 years mostly in Women’s health and clinic settings but also have experience in the community and disability.  I gained a Diploma in counselling in 2012 due to my role that involved a strong counselling component.   I now have a private counselling practice specialising in Infertility, pregnancy & baby loss & birth trauma.  In my practice I use both social work and counselling modalities.   My experience has involved working with Ethics committees and advisory groups, group facilitation, training and presenting.  I am experienced supporting clients with emotional difficulties involving grief, loss and trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, crisis intervention.

Supervision Interests/Approaches/Type: I have trained in a number of approaches to meet the needs of clients who want to learn ways of coping and understanding themselves better. (Client centred, CBT, Narrative, Psychodynamic, solution focussed, to name a few) I am a strength based and reflective practitioner and supervisor.

I am able to support those social workers who have a component of counselling within their role and feel they need development and support in their duel role, other health professionals who require a supervisor who understands the health sector and is supportive of their role and social workers looking for supervision that is safe, supportive, reflective and collaborative.  I am a relational supervisor who thinks supervision needs to meet your needs and this is always the place which we start!

Megan is able to come to  your work place for supervision where this is appropriate.
