Mokopuna embody the hopes and aspirations of tupuna for the progression of ‘oranga’ amongst our whanau, hapu and Iwi for the future.  Despite this vision mokopuna are over represented in statutory child protection services within Aotearoa, thus requiring culturally responsive practices and strategies to ensure their safe passage through the system to achieve positive outcomes.  For the social work practitioner supervision is imperative in facilitating a relational process to ensure cultural ‘ora’ practices are applied for mokopuna that promote and honour their position and wellbeing within whanau.  This webinar provides insights into Tangata Whenua and Tauiwi supervision that supports the practice of ‘mokopuna ora’ from both a whatukura and mareikura perspective. Mokopuna ora is irrevocably connected to whanau ora.
